Rendezvous Hotel – Bathroom Remediation
Gloucester Street’s Rendezvous Hotel was experiencing lifting of some of its shower bases and upon closer inspection, discovered it was due to the absence of waterproofing of the screed shower base.
Soon it was found that not a single shower base had been waterproofed throughout the hotel, so a remediation plan was agreed upon between the hotel and CBA Tiling.

The remediation plan would see batches of shower bases reset upon a waterproofed screed concrete base until every shower had been remediated.
CBA Tiling undertook the task accurately and efficiently and also completed associated tilework throughout each. “We pulled up 130 shower floors altogether.”

“A lot of what we’re called to do is rectifying poor tiling jobs to be fair,” says Josh. Which is a testament to CBA Tiling’s attention to detail and reputation for exact and accurate remedial tiling work.
The hotel no longer has issues with lifting shower trays due to a lack of waterproof membrane on its screed concrete base.
